So, it is 5:45 am on Friday, June 6th. I have been up since 2:45 and every time I try to go to sleep I can't. I thought sleepless nights were when the babies arrive not before. I took a Tylenol to relax like my mom said, but it still hasn't kicked in. The only thing kicking are these two babies. That is another reason I can't sleep. I tried laying on the couch, sitting in the recliner and now the sun is coming up and I still haven't been able to keep my eyes shut. I did get to catch up on General Hospital, I only wish that I had more than one episode to watch.
Good news: My friend Colleen got engaged about 3-4 weeks ago and is planning her wedding for May 16, 2009. I am very excited for her and Nate. She asked me to be a bridesmaid.Yet another reason to get skinny after the babies are born. Well I guess that is about it, I am going to look at other web pages now. The sucky part about not sleeping is, I am not going to get to take a nap today.

Dr. Appt update

Last week I had an appointment with Dr. Hahn. He told me that there was a 23% difference between the two babies. The concern is: why is baby B growing more than Baby A. They don't want the percentage to increase. Well, today I went to see the specialist and the results are in. Everything is fine. Baby 'a' and 'b' are have a difference in weight of 17 grams which is nothing. Baby 'a''s abdominal area is back on the radar. Everything is growing. 'B' switched places again and is now in the breech position. I have another appointment with the specialist on July 1st, but I do have to see Dr. Hahn again next week on Tuesday. There was no mention of bed rest at this appointment, but I still have to keep my feet up because my left leg is getting very big and fat throughout the day. Thanks to my mom for being my support today at the office and for being their giving me someone to talk to. They always leave me in an exam room forever. In the pictures, mom and I figured that one looks like me and the other like Tim. Tim has an oval face (A) and mine is more round(B). You can tell in the pictures. (if you click on the pictures they will get bigger.)

Update from the Specialist
Okay, where do I start. I went to see the specialist today and I was very excited to get another ultrasound. The babies look great, although the pictures are not good. Baby A gained 8 oz in 3 weeks and is now weighing 2lb 1oz. Baby B gained 1lb 1oz and is now weighing in at 2lb 11oz. After the ultrasound, I had to have a consultation. They made me wait over an hour to speak with the specialist. She said the heart rates were good-A-120 and B-140 and that my blood pressure was very good.
She did say that she was a little concerned about baby A's abdimen and the rate it was growing. Something like it was not growing as much with the rest of the body. I don't know really what she meant. You know you always think of the questions to ask afterwards. She is going to monitor me every two weeks, so my next appointment is June 3rd. Everything can catch up. She asked me what I was doing for the summer and I told her I had 3 days of meetings and that was it, so she said then if I have to put you on bed rest it won't be bad. BED REST- what? I really don't want to have to be on bed rest. She told me to start out these two weeks with more rest and putting my feet up. I did ask her if laying at the pool was considered bed rest and she said as long as my feet were up. I guess I can deal with that, hey I am getting a tan.

Doctors update
So, I had a doctors appointment yesterday with Dr. Hahn. I had my sugar test but I won't get the results for a few days. I am not to worried. I gained some more weight. Yeah, for me. I get to have another ultra-sound on Friday 5/16/08 and then I have to see Dr. Hahn again on 5/27/08. After that I have to go every 2 weeks for stress test.
I heard the heartbeats again and everything was fine. He measured me and said I measured at 34 weeks, which sounds big considering I am only 26 1/2 weeks, but it is twins. He asked what the specialist said and I told him what they told me; the babies are growing and their is only a 5 percent difference. He asked if there was anything else and I said no. He laughed and said, "so all you know is that your pregnant with twins and they are growing." Yeah that is about it. They are both head down too, I did know that.
Tim and I went for a walk yesterday and then I went for a walk with Chrissy. I really need to do that every night. Maybe in 2 weeks I will only gain a pound or two. Really it doesn't matter just as long as the babies are healthy.

Happy 10 months to Me and Tim
I feel like we have been married for ever. Not really, reality is still setting in. It has been 10 months since we were married in July and now expecting 2 babies. WOW we move fast. Chrissy & Jim we are on your tail. I know that everyday I have someone to come home to, but I still miss living at home with mom. Maybe it is a pregancy thing but I'm getting emotional thinking about living at home now. (my eyes are starting to tear up) I lost my casino partner. She doesn't ask me as much to go. (Call me anytime mom, just call my house first, I can't really hear my cell in my house unless it is right next to me.)
Tim is great, he rubs my feet all the time, but this week he has been slacking because of school. 16 more morning left for school. I can not wait to be done. Then I get to do nothing but help Jim out while Chrissy and Tim are in Tunica. Yes, I am jealous.
To respond to Kelly P.'s comment, the babies don't keep me up at night or wake me up, but I am feeling them a lot more lately. Yesterday was non-stop from the time I came home from work to the time I fell asleep. The one on the left kicks way more than the one on the right. It is really neat I can see my stomach move a little when they kick.

Just a quick update
Monday was the first time Tim felt one of the babies kick. We were laying in bed before I went to work and he felt a little kick. Then the baby kicked harder and he asked if that was it. Finally, Tim was patient enough to feel the baby.
Next Monday is Tim's last day of school, we finally get to start working on the nursery. Oh, just to let you know, the babies must have know when I am talking about them. They have been kicking the whole time I was thinking what to write.
