6 Weeks Old! and a weeks worth of updates

Since its been a while here is the update for a week.

Matthew and Michael are 6 weeks old and getting really big. I have packed up the majority of their new born outfits and they are now wearing 0-3 months. They are starting to stay awake for longer periods of time, so it is getting a little harder. I try and talk to them a lot but there is really nothing else to do. I feel bad when they are just laying there or in there swing, because that is all they can do and I can only get so much done when I am holding them.

Tim started his job on Monday and he loves it. He said his boss is really nice and he works with a girl from a previous job. Me, Matt and Mike met him for lunch on Friday, since we were already out shopping. I started Weight Watchers on Monday and my first official weigh-in is Tuesday. I am back at it with Jane, it was really easy last time, I hope it is this time too.

Friday we went to the last Party at the Park. We had a great time. I was the DD. You think after 9 months I wouldn't do it anymore but I volunteered.

We paid $5 for this bucket. I am going to get some use out of it.

Sunday we went to Brian and Gina's for their annual Labor Day BBQ. We all had a good time. I wanted to take a lot of pictures but then I only took some of the kids with the pinata and of Mike & Matt.

Yesterday we went to our friends Tony and Mindy's wedding reception. They got married in April down in Mexico. Mindy looked beautiful and they both looked very happy. Me, Tim, Diona, Matthew and Michael went to the reception. The boys were dressed so cute with shoes from their cousin Katie D. Some how Tim only took a picture of his FAVORITE all dressed up. (we keep teasing each other about favorites.)

Otherwise this week has been really boring. My poison ivy is almost gone, but now my skin is so dry it is itching more than the poison ivy. We did go shopping on Tuesday, that was the highlight of my week. Since I had 2 babies, Tim thinks he should get 2 T.V's. Well after meeting Jane at Kohl's to get Tim new work cloths, we got the babies pictures taken and then went to best buy. We bought a new TV and a new SLR digital camera. We have just been snapping pictures, just to use it.

I have one month left of maternity leave and Tim starts work tomorrow. He is looking forward to it, but I am sure he like being off better.

No more Worries!!!

Congratulations TIM! Tim received a phone call this morning offering him a position at Everest College working with Financial Aid. We are very happy, especially Tim, because now he can get his tv. He will start on Monday, August 25. The only bad thing is that he will have to drop one class. Good thing is he will still get his severance pay from GMAC.

We planned to get 1 month pictures today, but I look like a goon with Poison ivy, (oak, sumac) in my eye, on my neck, boobs and leg. I called the my Dr. and he prescribed Prednisone. I have to take it for 12 days. They were concerned about me breastfeeding, but 2 dr.'s said it was okay.

Quick update

The boys are doing great. We had an appointment last Wednesday. Matt weighed 6lbs 7oz and Mike weighed 6lbs 12oz.

For anyone that hasn't heard Tim was laid off last Wednesday, but we are doing okay. He hated the job anyway and he is getting 3 more pay checks (6 weeks) which is fine by us, especially if he gets a job before his severance pay runs out. Who couldn't use extra money, also it gives us more time to spend as a family. Also my brother is working him this week, so that will help out.

I have been trying to take some pictures just so I can scrapbook later. I have the pictures, now all I have to do is get them developed. I have uploaded to kodak gallery, simply because they have mat finish and that is what I like. I will upload to walgreens and send them out soon, promise.

Finally, we were able to give the boys their first bath. We could have done it a few days ago, but who has the time. Between all of the feedings we figured we would do it next time. We said that over and over and we were able to do it Sunday night. I figured that they would not like it much but after a while in the water they seemed to like it. Here are some pictures of this First moment to remember. Now I have something to scrapbook.

We had our family reunion on Saturday. We had a good time, it was nice seeing everyone and showing off the babies. Dumb ass me, forgot the diaper bag on the couch. I could have fed the babies but we didn't have any diapers to change them and Michael was not clean. We did stay longer than we planned, but it was hot and it was time to go.

Almost 2 weeks and our first real trip out

Okay, so once again I started slacking. The every 3 hour feedings are killing me. The boys were discharged from the hospital on Sunday and are doing great. We had another Dr.'s visit yesterday. Matthew weighed 5lbs 12oz and Michael weighed 5lbs 13oz. Matt passed up his birth weight and Michael needs to gain a few more ounces to get up to his birth weight.

We had our first trip out today, we met my dad at the Bread Co. We had a lot of us there. Jane, Katie, Michael, Kelly, Jenny, Jackie, Mom, Dad, Jackie, Billy, Chrissy, Alli, Jenna, Jimmy, Cassie, me, Michael and Matthew. My dad treated us all to lunch. Thanks Dad. I get to start driving again tomorrow, but there is really no place for me to go yet. Our family reunion is this Saturday so Tim can drive and if I go to the wedding shower Sunday I can ride with my mom. I do have a dr.'s appointment on Monday and I have to go to school to give my sub some information. I really won't be as bored when I can drive. I am leaving Tim with the babies tomorrow so I can go to Bingo with my mom and some other family members. Hopefully one of us will win the jackpot.
