Trip to Nashville

Tim and I packed up the boys and went to Nashville for the night with Jane, Ken, Mom, Kelly, Jenny, Jackie, Maryann and Rick. Pearl Heart was opening for Jeffrey Steele at a bar called 3rd and Lindsey. We arrive at the hotel about 12:30. The boys were great the whole way down. They didn't start crying until they got hungry around 11:30. We walked down Broadway and then went to lunch. They were great for us but the babysitters had a very hard night. We wanted to stay until the end of the concert but Tim and I went out Friday night and only got 5 hours of sleep. I was so exhausted I had 2 beers during the day when we were walking around and then I had 2 beers at the bar around 7pm. We didn't leave until 11 so I am sure I was okay. They cried all night for the sitters and they cried a little on the way home. It was hard for Tim and I to be in a car for 5 hours I couldn't even image sitting in a car seat for that long.

Finally, the dues that I pay to have my license plate paid off. I let Tim drink at the bar so I drove. When we left the bar, I was a little confused at a stop light. Needless to say I ran it. Right when I went under the the light a cop flashed his lights. Damn it, I knew exactly what I did. He sat in his car for awhile, probably running my plates. When he came up to my window he asked me for the normal things and said, "Your license plate is funny. I like that." I asked him if it was funny enough to not give me a ticket. He laughed and said, "I think so." Tim couldn't believe that I said that. He asked me a few questions about what was going on and I told him I had to pick up our babies about 30 min. away.

So glad you guys got to come down for the show. I wish I could have spent some time with the boys, but the whole weekend was a crazy one. So funny about your plates! Love Jackie

That story is great about the ticket! Glad it worked....never know unless you try. I'm jealous I couldn't go, but I'm sure Pearl Heart did awesome, like usual. Are we biased? haha!

Pearl Heart is the greatest. & Jeffrey Steele rocks. It was awesome seeing him in concert. Next time I want to meet him. Nashville is a fun town. Your babies are so cute. I think they handled the trip very well. Love Mom
